Google Maps is a web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets, real-time traffic conditions, and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle and air, or public transportation

ON ANDROID

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
  2. At the top, tap the search box and type an address or name of a place. Or choose a category, like gas stations or groceries. To use voice search, tap Speak .
  3. Optional: After you find a place on the map, you can see directions to the place in a list, details about a place, or hear directions using voice-guided navigation.

ON COMPUTER

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Type an address or name of a place.
  3. Press Enter or click Search .
  4. You’ll see search results as red mini-pins or red dots, where mini-pins show the top results. The purple ones are ads. Learn more about what the mini-pins mean.
  5. Optional: If you search for a type of place, like restaurants, you can filter your results using the drop-down menus below the search box.

On IPAD

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app .
  2. At the top, tap the search box and type an address or name of a place. You can also search for a category, like gas stations or groceries. To use voice search, tap Speak .
